Our next Michelin guide stop was at Kwonsooksoo, also the Gangnam area of Seoul. Similar to Mingles the night before, Kwonsooksoo holds two Michelin stars. We visited for lunch which has a slightly different menu from dinner service. Here is what we had for lunch on October 18, 2019:

Snacks - Korean seaweed, cold soup, stuffed squash blossom, mandoo

I left lunch at Kwonsooksoo with about the same sentiment as I did dinner the night before at Mingles. The meal overall was enjoyable, but not up to par with two Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to in other parts of the world. I enjoyed the snacks that started the menu and the entrees were fairly tasty. But, nothing really stood out to me with any sort of “wow” factor that I’d expect from a restaurant with this level of recognition. I’d say that Kwonsooksoo is more on the level of a one Michelin star, if that.
