HIDE
There are not many Michelin starred restaurants that are BLD (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) operations. So, when I saw that HIDE was one such restaurant that also was kid friendly, I decided to check it out. Also a bonus to find a spot like this that serves breakfast, since I have a strong feeling that breakfast is usually the most boring meal of the day.
Located just across the street from Green Park and a short walk from Buckingham Palace, HIDE is a contemporary and inviting space. The central staircase is supposedly carved from a single tree trunk and is certainly a unique piece of architecture.
I made a breakfast reservation to increase the odds we’d get a table against the window looking out at Green Park, but overall the restaurant was not crowded even later into breakfast service.
Here is what we had for breakfast on August 20, 2025:
HIDE Croque Monsieur with added egg and black truffles
Buckwheat waffle pancake with smoked salmon, cream cheese & soft herbs
Ripe honey mango with Thai basil & kaffir lime
Scorched banana & pecan croissant
French toast with blueberry compote & crème crue
Even for breakfast, service at HIDE was what you would expect of a Michelin starred restaurant. We found the food to be tasty and of high quality, albeit perhaps a bit pricey for breakfast.
HIDE also offers a variety of speciality tea and coffees to go along with breakfast. I enjoyed the coffee recommendations (although did not take pictures).
